As years pass by and our lives progress,
I recall many memories of such happiness.
Your courage, undaunted (in times of distress),
giving me strength with your warm caress.
'Oft times, I question things I have said,
"Why did I snap" I ask with such dread?
Your kind, gentle smile confirmed, 'twas okay,
just the result of a long, busy day!
Marriage (all) have ups and downs;
ours grew much stronger thru tears, sweat and frowns!
Always, you gave to our two son's and me,
a solid foundation where love flows so free!
With laughter and joy our home did abound;
the neighborhood kids, always around.
Little League started when our boy's would turn five;
right thru Legion you kept it alive.
"Fields of Dreams," you built with your hands;
a standing ovation from folks in the stands!
Working and teaching kids, year after year.
Your joy could be seen as you'd see them mature.
Twenty years Military, you did serve all,
yet Little League, Husband and Father, your call.
Inseparable? Yes, we four were a team, working together,
"That's My Dad," they would beam!
Yes, you are my anchor, so needed, so strong.
You keep me from drifting, yet help me along!
I love you more with each passing day:
For your great understanding..... but then......that's
"Your Way"
