In Loving Memory to Rose

It is said that of all the colors of "Roses" God made for us to see,
only the "yellow" rose can say what you truly mean to me!

You, my "Rose," have been my friend for 26 wonderful years!
We've shared many joys, laughter and fun and also much sorrow and tears!

You listen with your heart and have been a golden light,
that shines through as a beacon, even when you're out of sight.

Neither of us have riches such as gold and gems so dear,
but the riches we both share become more priceless with each passing year.

You, too, have suffered many trials, but never did you complain,
and as these 'roses' fall for you, may they remind you of great gain!

I have no way of knowing how these years would truly be,
if God had not taken time to introduce you, Rose, to me!

An inspiration, a loving smile, a friend forever true,
and when I'm feeling sad and low, the phone will ring; it's you!

Thank you for unconditional love; that is a friend indeed.
You never judge; you merely guide a soul that is in need.

So beloved friend, please hear my words, "You're always in my heart!"
Your friendship fills my soul with joy; and, of me, you are a part!
